Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 5395 FMI 15 (MCM) Idle Fuel Quantity Out of Range

DESCRIPTION:
Fuel quantity above normal operating range at idle.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
Injector quantity

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Engine idle and no vehicle speed.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two minutes

DASH LAMPS:
MIL

ENGINE REACTION:
No derate

VERIFICATION:
Steady engine idle: Two minutes.

NOTE: If any other codes are active, fix those first.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Intake manifold pressure sensor.
2. Intake manfiold pressure sensor connector/harness.
3. Failed EGR delta p sensor.
4. EGR delta p sensor connector/harness.
5. EGR Cooler failure.
6. Inspect the entire exhaust system for leaks, including the EGR system.
7. Inspect the entire air intake system for leaks, including the charge air cooler.
8. Perform stationary regen.
