The aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) atomization air pressure sensor is used to monitor the pressure of the compressed air supply to the aftertreatment DPF atomization module during active diagnostics and measures the combined atomization fuel and air pressure during burner operation. The sensor consists of a pressure sensitive diaphragm/amplifier sensor. Air pressure causes the sensors diaphragm to deflect and produce an electrical signal proportional to the pressure. The diaphragm deflection signal is amplified in the sensor.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Atomization air pressure above normal value with aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) air shutoff valve closed and aftertreatment DPF atomization air valve open during active diagnostics
Observable symptoms
1) Regeneration not possible
Probable cause
1) Aftertreatment Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Atomization Module (Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Air shutoff Valve)
2) Aftertreatment DPF Atomization Air Pressure Sensor
3) Aftertreatment Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Atomization Module (Aftertreatment DPF Atomization Air Actuator)
