Allison 1000 & 2000 Gen 5 Fault Code:P0607 Control Module Performance
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The TCM is equipped with an internal accelerometer used for Load Based Shift Scheduling (LBSS) and a variety of other purposes. This diagnostic test reports when the accelerometer is malfunctioning.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS:
1. The TCM does not illuminate the CHECK TRANS light.
2. DTC is stored in TCM history.
3. LBSS estimates are calculated based on other transmission parameters besides accelerometer data.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC:
Use the diagnostic tool to clear the DTC from the TCM history. The TCM automatically clears the DTC from the TCM history if the vehicle completes forty warm-up cycles without the DTC recurring.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
DTC P0607 may be caused by:
1. Defective TCM.
2. Error in TCM installation angle learning procedure.
