CAT 3406E (Prefix 5DS or 1LW) Fault Code: 56 PID: 253 SPN: FMI: 11 Check Transmission Customer Parameters

This condition indicates that the “Transmission Style” parameter is programmed to the Eaton Top 2 and any one of the following parameters are not programmed:

•”Auxiliary Output 2″ (Multi-Function Output #2) is not programmed to “Shift Solenoid”.
•”Auxiliary Output 3″ (Multi-Function Output #3) is not programmed to “Lockout Solenoid”.
•”Gear Ratios” not programmed

Probable Causes:

Program the “Transmission Style” parameter that is Eaton Top 2 to the correct setting. If an Eaton Top 2 Transmission is not used, program the correct “Transmission Style” parameter to the correct setting.
