DESCRIPTION:
Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) valve circuit failed low.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
DEF valve

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
DEF tank temperature less than 36°F and engine valve temperature greater than 32°F.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 10%

VERIFICATION:
Output component test.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. DEF valve connector harness.
2. Wiring between DEF valve connector and the 120-pin ECM.
