This code will set when there is a camshaft and crankshaft mismatch signal.

Camshaft/crankshaft sensors.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Engine idle
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.
TYPICAL DURATION:
10 seconds

1. MIL
2. CEL
ENGINE REACTION:
None
VERIFICATION:
Engine idle: One minute.
NOTE: If code 723-3, 723-4, 636-3, or 636-4 active fix those first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Verify proper camshaft timing and gear lash adjustment.
2. Camshaft position sensor failure.
3. Camshaft position sensor harness/connector.
