Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 723 FMI 11 (MCM) Camshaft Position Sensor Failure

DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the camshaft position (CMP) sensor signal is disrupted.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
Camshaft position sensor.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Engine idle

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Camshaft position sensor connector/harness.
2. Camshaft position sensor.
3. Improper timing or installation of the gear train, camshaft, or flywheel.
