Detroit DD13 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 5246 FMI 15 (ACM) Regulatory Fault Ignored – Derate On

DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when there is a code present for the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank level, DEF Dosing Unit, DEF Pump, NOx Sensors, Blocked DEF Line, DEF Quality, NOx Efficiency, Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Harness and/or SCR sensor.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
SCR and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) sensors.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
25 percent derate.

VERIFICATION:
1. Parked SCR efficiency test for extended SCR faults.
2. High idle regeneration for DPF and NOx faults.

NOTE: For 2010 emission engines, if 5246-0, 5246-15, or 5246-16 are the only faults present, please troubleshoot code 3361-7 instead.

NOTE: This is a government mandated code which informs users that fault code has been active for longer then a government specified time interval.
