Detroit DD15 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 51 FMI 4 (MCM) Intake Throttle Valve Circuit Failed Low

This fault code sets when there is an open on the intake throttle valve circuit.

Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
2 seconds

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 10%

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Air throttle valve harness.
2. ITV harness connector.
3. Intake throttle valve failure.
4. Cold temperatures may falsely cause this code to appear.
5. Intake throttle valve sensor.
