DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the camshaft position (CMP) sensor signal has timed out for an extended period of time.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
Camshaft position sensor.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Engine idle

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
10 Seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL
3. SEL

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Camshaft position sensor connector/harness.
2. Camshaft position sensor.
3. Improper timing or installation of the gear train, camshaft, or flywheel.
