Detroit DD15 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3242 FMI 7 (ACM) Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Inlet Temperature – Signal Not Responding
NOTE: This fault indicates the aftertreatment control module (ACM) has detected no temperature shift on the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) inlet temperature sensor. The most likely cause is an intermittent wiring concern (poor terminal fit, corrosion, chaffing etc.).
NOTE: If 3242-3 or 3242-4 active, fix that first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. DOC inlet temperature sensor.
2. DOC inlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
