Detroit DD16 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 174 FMI 2 (MCM) Fuel Temperature Sensor, General Temperature Plausibility
NOTE: During cold ambient temperatures this fault can be induced if vehicle is equipped with auxiliary oil or coolant heaters. If unit is equipped with an auxiliary heater, clear fault code and release. This is a MIL – only fault.
NOTE: If any cooling system codes present, fix this first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Fuel temperature sensor.
2. Fuel temperature sensor connector/harness.
