Detroit DD16 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 3599 FMI 3 (ACM) High Side Digital Output 3 Circuit Failed High

DESCRIPTION:
This Code Sets When the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) Detects a Short to Power on Pins 9, 15, or 39 within One Second After the Ignition has Been Turned On.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
High side digital output 3 circuit.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
One second after the ignition is cycled on.

TYPICAL DURATION:
1 Second

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
None

VERIFICATION:
Cycle the ignition key from the off position to the on position.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Doser heater.
2. Doser heater lines 1, 2, 3, or 4.
3. ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module) failure.
4. Short to battery between ACM pins 9, 15, 39, or 2 and their components.
5. Reconnect items in #4 one at a time and clear the fault code after each connection. When fault becomes active, replace the components.
