Detroit DD16 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 4335 FMI 4 (ACM) Diesel Exhaust Fluid Metering Unit Air Pressure Sensor Circuit Failed Low

DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the aftertreatment control module (ACM) detects a short to ground or an open wire on the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) metering unit air pressure sensor circuit.

Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:
Engine idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. If 4335-3, 4334-3, and 3510-3 are present, repair the short to voltage between pin 3 of the DEF metering unit air pressure sensor and pin 84 of the ACM2.
2. If 4335-3 and 4334-3 and present, repair the open wire between pin 3 of the DEF metering unit air pressure sensor and pin 84 of the ACM2.
3. Wiring between the DEF metering unit air pressure sensor and the ACM2.
4. DEF metering unit air pressure sensor.
