Erratic data on engine controller area network (CAN) link.

CAN communication

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

VERIFICATION:
Engine idle: One minute.

NOTE: If any engine computer modules have been programmed recently, it may cause this code to be inactive. Reset the codes, test drive, and see if they come back.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Low battery voltage.
2. Wiring between the MCM 21-pin connector and the battery.
3. Wiring between the MCM 21-pin connector and the CPC #4 connector.
