Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3696 FMI 9 (CPC) Diesel Particulate Filter Regen Force MUX Switch Message Stopped Arriving

DESCRIPTION:
Loss of communication occurred on the CPC DPF switch source address.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
CM1 DPF source add SAE J1939.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Key on
2. Engine off

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

ENGINE REACTION:
None

VERIFICATION:
Cycle the key to power down, then cycle the key back on.

NOTE: If codes 168-0, 168-14, or 168-18 active fix those first.

NOTE: If code 625-9 active, fix that first as well.

NOTE: If ECM has been programmed recentely, check programming to ensure it is correct.

NOTE: This code is coming from another computer on the vehicle (ABS, Transmission, etc…).
