Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 520287 FMI 14 (MCM) Missing VIN in Motor Control Module

NOTE: This fault usually occurs after reprogramming the motor control module (MCM) after reprogramming, all fault codes must be cleared. Use the diagnostic service tool to set engine serial number/Vehicle Identification Number (ESN/VIN), command to change the ESN/VIN in the electronic control modules when you replace any of them, or if the engine is exchanged.

NOTE: After programming the MCM, this code could falsly appear. Clear it and see if it returns. If it does, you need to change the VIN # I nthe engine ECM.
