Eaton Gen 2 (AutoShift) Fault Code: 33 PID: 168 FMI: 4 Battery Voltage Supply

Overview:
Fault Code 33 indicates the battery power supply to the Shift Controller Pin J1 and Pin K1 is below 7 volts.

Detection:
The fault is detected immediately after power up. This fault causes the Service light to flash, but cannot be retrieved via key clicks (because turning the ignition key off at this point results in an immediate shutdown).

Fallback:
If this fault occures while moving, it causes a current gear fallback. Once the vehicle is stopped, starting gear and reverse can be engaged.

Possible Causes:
1) Battery bus fuse/circuit breaker is open
2) Low batteries
3) Damaged Vehicle Harness
4) Malfunctioning Shift Controller

Shop Talk:
Key on. If the fault is present, the system should automatically detect the problem and set the code. If the fault is not present at key on, operate the vehicle and attempt to duplicate the driving conditions that triggered the fault code. Possible triggers include heat, vibration.
