PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P0830 Clutch Input Signal – Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect
SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) detects that the clutch pedal position has not been changed while the vehicle speed has been above 40 km/h [25 mph].
DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the vehicle speed reaches more than 40 km/h [25 mph] for the first time.
RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Malfunction of the clutch pedal sensor or switch
Operating fault:
1. Starting the engine with the clutch pedal depressed (normal behavior) and not releasing the clutch pedal fully during driving. Instruct the driver to release the clutch pedal fully.
2. Driving off in too high a gear so the vehicle speed is above 40 km/h [25 mph] at the moment the clutch pedal is fully released. Instruct the driver to select the correct drive-off gear.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The clutch pedal sensor or switch is used to determine the clutch pedal position: depressed or released (manual transmission only).
