Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank, Level Sensor has an indicator lamp and gauge in the instrument cluster. A solid lamp comes on when there is approximately 16% DEF remaining in the tank. A flashing lamp indicates when there is approximately 4% DEF remaining in the tank. A 25% engine derate is possible if the DEF is not refilled above the red line on the gauge at the next engine start up.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Low fluid level in the tank (Approximately?16%)
2) Low signal voltage from sensor
Probable cause
1) Low level in Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank
2) Connector
3) Wiring harness
4) Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank, Level Sensor
Detailed information
1) Activation
2) Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank Low Level Indicator
