Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank, Level Sensor has an indicator lamp and gauge in the instrument cluster. A solid lamp comes on when there is approximately 16% DEF remaining in the tank. A flashing lamp indicates when there is approximately 4% DEF remaining in the tank. A 25% engine derate is possible if the DEF is not refilled above the red line on the gauge at the next engine start up.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The voltage at pin A137:46 is below normal value
Observable symptoms
1) The Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank level gauge remains permanently at the minimum level
Probable cause
1) Connector
2) Wiring harness
3) Open circuit on ground wire
4) Short circuit to ground, Signal wire
5) Open circuit, Signal wire
6) Open circuit, Supply wire
7) Aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank, Level Sensor
