This diagnostic function monitors the systems ability to maintain and regulate the DPF temperatures within acceptable limits based on current conditions like normal operation or during regenerations.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Regeneration is active (by the relevant operation or by manual regeneration) for 15 minutes
2) The aftertreatment hydrocarbon doser reached its upper fuel delivery limit for temperature adaptation
3) Regeneration efficiency too low
Observable symptoms
1) Regeneration aborted
Probable cause
1) Aftertreatment exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors installed in the incorrect location on the aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF)
2) Obstructed/dirty aftertreatment hydrocarbon doser
3) Catalyst failure, Possible excessive sulfur content in the diesel fuel
