Volvo Engine D13F Fault Code: PSID 216 FMI 9 Data Link
CONTROL UNIT:
Engine ECU
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers that bus communication is missing with V-ECU on CAN1/J1939.
SYMPTOM:
1. Starter motor cannot be activated.
2. The machine does not go into gear.
3. Engine brake not functioning.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Open circuit.
2. Short circuit to frame ground.
3. Leads in control link short-circuited to each other.
4. Short circuit to voltage.
5. Defective ECU.
