Cummins ISB4.5 CM2150 Fault Code: 1695 PID: SID 232 SPN: 3513 FMI: 3 Sensor Supply 5 – Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source.

Circuit Description
The sensor supply 5 of the engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 volt supply for the remote accelerator, coolant level sensor, accelerator position sensor 2, and aftertreatment diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor.

Component Location
Sensor supply number 5 is located in the ECM OEM harness connector and provides a 5 volt supply to various components in the OEM harness.

Conditions for Running the Diagnostics
This diagnostic runs continuously when the keyswitch is in the ON position or when the engine is running.

Conditions for Setting the Fault Codes
The ECM detects that the sensor supply 5 signal voltage is greater than 5.25-VDC for more than 1 second.

Action Taken When the Fault Code is Active
-The ECM illuminates the amber CHECK ENGINE light and/or malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) immediately when the diagnostic runs and fails.
-The engine will have limp home throttle control only.

Conditions for Clearing the Fault Code
-To validate the repair, start the engine and let it idle for 1 minute.
-The ECM will turn off the amber CHECK ENGINE light immediately after the diagnostic runs and passes.
-The ECM will turn off the MIL after three consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and passes.
-This fault code and MIL can also be cleared with INSITE™ electronic service tool.

Shop Talk
High voltage on the 5 volt supply wire can be caused by a short circuit to a power supply, a damaged sensor, or a damaged ECM power supply.
