Cummins ISC CM2150 (2007-09) Fault Code: 1696 PID: SID 232 SPN: 3513 FMI: 4 Sensor Supply 5 – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source. Low voltage detected at sensor supply number 5 circuit in the OEM harness.
Verify the electronic control module (ECM) calibration is correct. Check the calibration revision history found on Quickserve™ Online for applicable fixes to the calibration stored in the ECM. If necessary, recalibrate the ECM.
Low voltage on the 5-volt supply wire can be caused by a short circuit to ground in a supply wire, a short circuit between a supply wire and a return wire, a failed sensor, or a failed ECM power supply.
Possible repairs:
1)Replace the accelerator/lever position sensor.
2)Replace the aftertreatment diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor.
3)Replace the coolant level sensor.
4)Replace the remote throttle.
5)Replace the fan speed sensor.
6)Replace the engine harness.
8)Repair or replace the OEM harness.
