Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 3598 FMI 3 (MCM) Proportional Valve Bank 2 Circuit Failed High

DESCRIPTION:
Proportional valve bank 2 circuit failed high.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
Motor control module (MCM) bank 2 power.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Short to power between pin 2 of the rear Jake brake solenoid and pin 62 of the MCM 120-pin connector.
2. Short to power between pin 2 of the Electronic Dosing Valve and pin 64 of the MCM 120-pin connector.
3. Failed MCM (Engine ECM).
