Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 1716 FMI 13 (CPC) Evo Bus 5 – Stage Retarder Level Calibration Not Plausible

NOTE: The common powertrain controller (CPC) digital outputs have the same SPN as some motor control module (MCM) faults. The diagnostic service tool standard makes the distinction between the MCM and CPC diagnosing a fault.

NOTE: If any battery voltage codes present, first those first. If code 625-9 active, fix that before proceding as well.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. CPC recently programmed incorrectly.
2. Another computer on the truck is the cause of the problems (ABS, Transmission, etc…).
