Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 1761 FMI 18 (ACM) Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Tank Level 1 Condition – Empty Tank

DESCRIPTION:
DEF tank level 1 – empty.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
DEF tank level.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
DEF tank level less than 2.5%.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
Ten minutes

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: Five minutes.

NOTE: This fault indicates that the DEF tank level is empty. A 25% engine derate and 55 mph speed limit is in effect. DEF must be added to the DEF tank (minimum 1/4 tank).
