Volvo All Engines (2010 Emissions) Fault Code: SPN 2659 FMI 10 PID: PPID 35 Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Mass Flow Rate

This function is used to calculate the EGR Mass Flow. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the EGR diffpressure sensor and the EGR temperature sensor after cooler and uses these signals to calculate the EGR Mass Flow data.

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) EGR mass flow above calculated value
2) EGR mass flow is below calculated value

Observable symptoms
1) Exhaust smoke

Probable cause
1) EGR Valve
2) Wiring harness
3) Exhaust leakage
4) Sooty EGR cooler
5) EGR differential pressure sensor
