Volvo All Engines (2010 Emissions) Fault Code: SPN 3249 FMI 15 PID: PPID 387 Aftertreatment DPF Intake Temperature – Least Severe Level
This diagnostic function indicates malfunction at the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor. The purpose of the exhaust gas sensor is to contribute the relevant temperatures required for the temperature regulated aftertreatment diesel particulate filter regeneration control. A faulty EGT sensor can result with a failed aftertreatment (DPF) regeneration.
