This diagnostic function indicates malfunction at the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor. The purpose of the exhaust gas sensor is to contribute the relevant temperatures required for the temperature regulated aftertreatment diesel particulate filter regeneration control. A faulty EGT sensor can result with a failed aftertreatment (DPF) regeneration.
Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) The voltage at pin A14.EB:43 is more than 4.84?V
Diagnostic operating conditions
1) Ignition key in ON position
Observable symptoms
1) Regeneration not possible
Probable cause
1) Connector
2) Open circuit, Signal wire
3) Open circuit, Ground wire
4) Short circuit to voltage supply, signal wire
5) Wiring harness between component connector and electronic control unit (ECU) connector
6) Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor
7) Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM)
