SHOP TALK CONTAINS CRITERIA FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1. Instrument Control Unit (HMIM)
2. Vehicle Control Unit (V-ECU)
3. Vehicle Control Unit 2 (V2-ECU)
INSTRUMENT CONTROL UNIT (HMIM)
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The Instrument Control Unit (HMIM) registers that bus communication is missing with E-ECU on CAN1/J1939.
SYMPTOM:
None
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Open circuit on bus communication (cable harness) (SAE J1939 CAN1).
VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (V-ECU)
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The Vehicle Control Unit (V-ECU) registers that bus communication is missing with ECC on J1708/J1587.
SYMPTOM:
The climate control unit does not work correctly.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Ongoing diagnostic software operation: Parameter programming ECU, Programming.
2. Open circuit on information link.
3. Defective ECU ECC-ECU.
VEHICHLE CONTROL UNIT 2 (V2-ECU)
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The Vehicle Control Unit 2 (V2-ECU) registers that bus communication is missing with E-ECU on CAN1/J1939.
SYMPTOM:
Response problem Messages are read/sent instead on J1708/J1587.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Open circuit on bus communication (cable harness) (SAE J1939 CAN1).
