PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P250F Engine Oil Level – Data Valid but Too Low, Most Severe
SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) detects that the oil level is very low.
DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the ignition is keyed on and when the oil level stabilization time has elapsed.
CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None
RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.
REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back?
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Oil level too low
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. The oil level is measured in the oil sump by the oil level sensor (F673).
2. The engine oil temperature is measured by the oil temperature sensor (F808).
3. The driver is informed by a red warning on DIP.
4. The oil level can be checked with the mechanical dipstick or on the master display.
