Cummins ISL CM850 (2003-06) Fault Code: 2382 PID: SPN: 2795 FMI: 4 Turbocharger position sensor circuit – shorted low. Low signal voltage detected at the turbocharger position sensor circuit.
The turbocharger position sensor shares supply and return wires in the engine harness with other sensors. Opens and shorts in the engine harness can cause multiple fault codes to be active.
Possible causes:
1)Signal circuit open or shorted to ground
2)Supply circuit open or shorted to ground
3)Sensor shorted to ground.
Possible repairs:
1)Replace the turbocharger position sensor.
2)Repair or replace the engine harness.
3)Replace the ECM.
